Frying Pan Farm Park is a working demonstration farm in Fairfax County, close to Herndon.
A suburban cowgirl's dream!
Among the attractions are:

Lots of animals, including cows...
and their babies
turkeys
peacocks
goats
sheep
and we even saw a llama!
Open daily from dawn until dusk, admission is free to Frying Pan Farm Park, but wagon rides are $3. If it were just a little bit closer to home I'm sure we'd visit more often. I'd love to take advantage of the summer camp they offer for preschoolers, but it's a bit of a trek to make for 5 days straight. continue reading
